The College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District baseball teams have been announced, with three Prairie Stars earning the honor for their combined success on the field and in the classroom in 2025.
Mark Kattula, Mack Clark, and Adam Lindsey were selected as the honorees from UIS. Kattula advances to the CSC Academic All-America ballot based on his exceptional athletic achievements during the 2025 season.
Nominees must be of at least sophomore standing both academically and athletically, hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and meet strict playing time standards by either starting 90% of their team's games, appearing in 66% of games, or pitching a minimum of 35 innings or making 17 appearances. Each NCAA baseball program may nominate up to five student-athletes.
Mark Kattula | Infielder | Shelby Township, Mich.
Kattula earned his first CSC Academic All-District honor after a standout senior season. He led UIS with 80 hits and a .385 batting average, finishing among the GLVC leaders in hits, runs, doubles, RBIs, and batting average. Kattula was named First Team All-GLVC, First Team All-Region by both D2CCA and NCBWA, and Second Team All-Region by the ABCA. His accomplishments on the field and in the classroom earn him a spot on the Academic All-America ballot.
Mack Clark | Outfielder | Overland Park, Kan.
Clark earned Academic All-District honors for the second consecutive season after wrapping up his collegiate career in 2025. A frequent starter in right field, Clark hit .281 with 15 doubles, five home runs, and 36 RBIs. He also posted a .983 fielding percentage with 57 putouts in 59 chances. He remains one of the team's top academic performers.
Adam Lindsey | Pitcher | Jacksonville, Ill.
Lindsey, a senior starting pitcher in his second season with UIS, received Academic All-District honors for the first time. He pitched 45.1 innings across 11 starts, striking out 46 batters and posting a 4.76 ERA and 4-4 record.
The 2025 CSC Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their achievements in both athletics and academics. Student-athletes advancing to the national ballot are indicated with an asterisk and will be considered for CSC Academic All-America honors. The first-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on July 1, 2025.
