Come out and enjoy the 10th Annual Prairie Stars 5K—a flat, easy run/walk through the beautiful UIS campus!

Held in conjunction with Homecoming Week, this fun and active event is a great way to show your school spirit. Grab a friend (and/or your dog!) and join us for a morning of movement and celebration. Participants will receive a dri-fit t-shirt, have the chance to win door prizes, and more!

We offer men’s, women’s, and non-binary divisions, with awards given to the top 3 finishers in each age category and the overall winners.

Date: Saturday, September 20th, 2025

Time: The race starts promptly at 8:30 AM. Plan to arrive 15-30 minutes early.

Location: TRAC. The start/finish line is in Lot I.

Registration Cost: $10 for UIS students and $20 for all others. The registration link will be open soon!
