The UIS men's golf team closed out its fall season with a strong showing at the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational, finishing fifth as a team with a two-round total of 600.

Individually, Sacha Lamraski led the Prairie Stars, carding a 150 (73-77) to tie for 12th overall. Lamraski was joined by Vilgot Arleback (151, T14), Daniel Edwards (152, T19), Jake Baldin (156, T28) Julien Babineau (156, T28), and Peyton Woods (158, T37).

UIS showcased consistency over 36 holes, with the team posting a 301 in round one and improving to 299 in round two. The squad finished just behind host Kentucky Wesleyan (597) in fourth and ahead of Purdue Northwest (610) in sixth.

Coach Josh Edison reflected on the performance: "I'm proud of how the team wrapped up the fall season. Danny's opening round gave us a huge boost and set the tone early. We came out firing in the second round and showed the kind of potential this group has when we're locked in. We lost a little steam toward the end, but the fight and belief in each other never wavered. It's been a great fall for our program. We're building something special here, and there's a lot of excitement heading into the offseason."

The Prairie Stars will return to competition in the spring, looking to build on the foundation set during the fall months.
