The UIS softball program has announced the addition of three transfers to its roster ahead of the 2025-26 school year. The incoming group features two student-athletes from the junior college level and one NCAA Division I transfer, adding talent and depth to an already experienced Prairie Stars team.
Calista Stahlhut
Sophomore | R/R | Pitcher/UtilityPrevious Schools: St. Louis Community College / Roxana High School
Stahlhut brings two-way talent to UIS after an impressive season at St. Louis Community College. She batted .393 over 144 at-bats and posted a 1.15 ERA across 91 innings pitched. Her honors include:
- NJCAA Region 16 Player of the Year
- All-Conference
- All-Region
- Third Team All-American
Erin Pulliam
Junior | R/R | First BasePrevious Schools: Spoon River College / Tremont High School
Pulliam joins UIS as the all-time home run leader at Spoon River College with 35 career long balls. She earned multiple accolades during her career, including:
- 2025 First-Team All-Region
- 2025 First-Team All-Conference
- 2025 First-Team Academic All-American
- 2024 Second-Team All-Conference
Chloe Scroggins
Graduate Student | L/R | UtilityPrevious Schools: SIU Carbondale / Olympia High School
Scroggins comes to UIS as a graduate student after completing her undergraduate degree at SIU Carbondale, where she earned Dean's List honors in all eight semesters and played in 57 softball games as a Saluki. At Olympia High School, she was a consistent offensive contributor and helped lead her team to two regional championships and an IHSA State Tournament appearance.
- 2021: Hit .545 with 12 doubles, 11 RBI, and 17 runs
- 2019: Hit .432 as the team's leadoff hitter with 52 hits, 12 doubles, and a .482 on-base percentage
- 2018: Hit .356 with a .457 on-base percentage
The Prairie Stars will open the 2025-26 school year with a strong mix of returners and experienced newcomers as they look to build on recent success.
