UIS softball is headed on the road to close out the regular season with back-to-back noon doubleheaders—Saturday at Upper Iowa and Sunday at Lewis. The trip will end with a matchup against the top team in the GLVC standings, as the Prairie Stars prepare for the postseason.

Illinois Springfield (27-16, 15-9 GLVC)
The Prairie Stars are fourth in the conference standings after a successful weekend at home against William Jewell. During Friday's Senior Day doubleheader, UIS earned back-to-back five-inning victories, 8-0 and 11-0. Starting pitcher Rosie Bartletti recorded the win in both games, while senior Addyson McClure closed game two.

UIS is 4-2 in its last three conference series, which included splits with both McKendree and Indianapolis—two of the GLVC's top teams.

Bartletti leads the UIS pitching staff with a 2.41 ERA and 190 strikeouts in 139.2 innings pitched. Taylor Zawacki (3.13 ERA) and McClure (4.05 ERA) have each logged over 60 innings this season.

Ella Brinkley leads the team offensively, batting .411 with a team-high 46 hits. Zawacki is hitting .361 with 43 hits, and both Bartletti and Malia Bender have recorded 42 hits each.

Nyla Cooper was named the GLVC Player of the Week after going 5-for-6 with a home run on Senior Day, contributing four RBIs.

Upper Iowa (12-31, 8-16 GLVC)
The Peacocks have not faced a GLVC opponent in nearly two weeks. Most recently, they were swept by UMSL on April 13, losing 10-8 and 8-0. In non-conference action since then, they dropped doubleheaders to Parkside and Missouri Western.

Season highlights include a conference sweep of William Jewell and splits with both Indianapolis and Lewis earlier in the year.

Delaney Vetter (4.76 ERA, 2-12) and Sara Reid (5.10 ERA, 8-9) share most of the innings in the circle for Upper Iowa.

Serah Shafer is the team's top hitter with a .400 average and 64 hits. Tristin Doster leads in extra-base hits, posting 9 doubles, 8 home runs, and a .352 batting average. Addyson Alber has tallied 10 doubles among her 34 hits.

Upper Iowa holds a 5-4 edge in the all-time series. The two teams split their first doubleheader as conference opponents last season.

Lewis (33-15, 19-5 GLVC)
The Flyers most recently swept Quincy at home with 5-1 and 6-2 wins. Prior to that, they dropped both games in a doubleheader to Maryville and split with McKendree in a 12-inning loss and a win. Despite recent ups and downs, Lewis sits atop the GLVC standings and has already secured a berth in the conference tournament.

Delaney Garden is a standout two-way player, leading the team with a .471 batting average and 81 hits. She is also a key part of the pitching staff with a 17-7 record, 1.40 ERA, and 155.1 innings pitched. Allie Wondrasek (16-5, 1.95 ERA) has nearly matched her innings total with 154.1.

Kristen Graham (45 RBI) and Anna Frafjord (46 RBI) have helped power the Flyers' offense.

Lewis leads the all-time series 16-14, with the teams splitting last season's games in Romeoville.
