Join Gender & Sexuality Student Services and the Women's Center for Shades - Capes and Courage: Celebrating Queer Black Heroes! Shades creates a space for all students to explore topics of identity and intersectionality, with an emphasis on providing space for discussion on experiences from Queer and Trans* communities of color. At this Shades event, learn about the representation of Queer Black superhero characters and their creators, and engage in discussion about the intersection of these identities within the superhero genre. This event is a part of Black History Month. There will be snacks, refreshments, and a raffle!

This event will happen Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 2pm-3:30pm in the Diversity Center Lounge (SLB 22).
