The UIS women's golf team will open its fall 2025 season on Monday and Tuesday at the UIndy Fall Invitational, hosted by GLVC opponent Indianapolis at Champions Pointe Golf Club in Henryville, Ind.

The athletes will compete in three rounds of stroke play over two days, facing a strong field of 11 opponents, including eight from the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

The Prairie Stars' lineup features returners Elaine Grant and Lia Rody alongside three newcomers: freshmen Yi-Ting Hsieh and Fizreen Ahmadfadzir, and sophomore transfer Valentina Torrealba, who joined UIS from Spring Arbor University. 

With three underclassmen making their UIS debuts, the Stars bring a young and largely untested roster into the fall slate. The mix of returning leadership from Grant and Rody, combined with the potential of the newcomers, will give the squad an opportunity to grow quickly in competition.

This marks the first tournament under new head coach Josh Edison, who takes the helm of the program this fall.
