The UIS women's soccer program has announced the addition of Hailey Parungao as its new assistant coach. Parungao brings a wealth of experience to the Prairie Stars, most recently serving as the Director of Operations for Women's Soccer at the University of Illinois and as the Director of Peoria City, a member of the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL).

"I am tremendously excited to add Hailey into our program as she has an incredible background of experience that will benefit the student-athletes in our program," said head coach Scott Myers. "As we navigated our search, Hailey stood out as a candidate with invaluable experiences to help elevate our women's soccer program and allow us to reach new heights.

With her experience at the NCAA Division I level as well as her most recent role as General Manager of the Peoria City WPSL team, she is well-versed in all facets of working in a high-level program. Hailey will come in immediately and make an impact in all areas of the program—from administration to coaching—but most importantly, she will provide a commitment to our student-athletes both now and in their future."

At Illinois, Parungao managed all operational aspects of the Illini women's soccer program, including coordinating travel logistics, and supporting practice, recruiting, and player development initiatives. In Peoria, she led the strategic planning, staffing, and technical development of the WPSL team, while fostering a strong team culture and maintaining key relationships with league officials and community stakeholders.

"I am truly excited to join the program and contribute to the development of our student-athletes, both on and off the field," Parungao said. "I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Scott and look forward to helping build a culture of excellence and success."

Her previous experience also includes working with the Girls Academy League as an Event and Player Services Coordinator, and with the U.S. Soccer Federation as a Youth National Teams Administrator.

Parungao earned her Master of Education in Sports Administration from the University of Miami and holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Sport Management and Marketing from Indiana University.
