Josslyn Gaona led the Illinois Springfield women's track and field team with a first-place finish in the 800-meter race at the Big Blue Alumni Invite, hosted by Millikin University. The Prairie Stars recorded multiple top-10 finishes across various events, including strong performances in the 1500 meters and high jump.

• Josslyn Gaona's first-place finish in the 800 meters was a standout performance as she crossed the finish line with a time of 2:27.95. Camille Terre also had a strong showing, securing a fourth-place finish with a time of 2:34.62.
• Lillian Buzani and Marissa Roggensack also had impressive showings in the women's 1500 meters, finishing second and third, respectively. Buzani crossed the line in 5:00.64, followed closely by Roggensack in 5:03.58.
• Niyah Udoiwod secured a third-place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.45 meters, trailing two athletes from the host school.
• UIS also placed three athletes in the top 10 of the 400 meters. Norah Wright led the group with a sixth-place finish in 1:04.72. Emma Leahy followed in eighth, while Allison Thompson finished ninth.
