SGA Candidate Forum

The SGA Candidate Forum will give students the opportunity to meet candidates running for the Student Government Association.  Candidates will be provided the opportunity to introduce themselves, share their goals, and answer questions posed from the audience.  We invite all UIS students to attend to learn about the candidates' platforms to make an informed vote that will help shape the future of our campus.

Secrets of the System: A Simulation Experience

SSSh! The campus is in crisis, and it’s up to you to fix it before time runs out. In this escape-room–style simulation, students will work in teams to solve challenges involving student advocacy, campus governance, and funding decisions while navigating real-world scenarios faced by student leaders. Co-sponsored by SGA, SOFA, and SAC, this interactive experience highlights collaboration, critical thinking, and shared decision-making—all in a fast-paced, engaging environment where every choice matters.

Shades: Power to the Student

Join us for Shades from 3–5 pm!

Shades is a discussion-based event series open to all UIS students, faculty, and staff. Our goal is to create a safe, affirming space to explore identity while bringing together QTPOC (Queer & Trans* People of Color) students and allies on campus.

This week’s Shades, Power to the Students, is a Trans Visibility week event! We will focus on student rights and campus policies. Together, students, faculty, and staff will engage in open dialogue about how to use your voice, understand your rights, and navigate campus systems.
