CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
The GIS Laboratory at UIS emphasizes active, problem-based teaching and learning. The GIS Lab offers students a variety of opportunities to engage in research projects.
The GIS classroom is equipped with instructional technologies and fully equipped computers. The GIS Laboratory hosts a state-of-the-art GIS server, three data servers, one large size plotters, and a large size scanner. Students will gain the theoretical basics of geographic information sciences. More importantly, students will gain hands-on experience with GIS applications in a wide range of fields.
