Guest Policy
- All guests and family members must register at the TRAC Front Desk for each visit. The sponsoring Rec Member must personally know the guest(s) they are signing in. An eligible UIS Rec Member may host:
- A maximum of two (2) guests per visit, and/or an unlimited number of immediate family members consisting only of a spouse (husband or wife) and/or dependent children (son, daughter, step-son, or step-daughter).
- Dependent children are defined as those under 25 years of age, supported by their parents, and living in the parents’ residence.
- Each guest must pay a $5 guest fee per visit. (The fee is waived for preschool children under the age of 5.) Guests must be at least 14 years old to access the Fitness Center.
- The sponsoring Rec Member is responsible for the conduct and behavior of their guests. The member must remain with their guests at all times while using Campus Recreation facilities. When the sponsoring member leaves, the guests must also leave.
- If a guest is asked to leave due to behavior, the sponsoring member must also leave. Similarly, if the member is asked to leave, their guest(s) must leave as well. Guests may not switch sponsors during the same day’s visit.
- Guests may check out equipment for use inside TRAC under the sponsoring member's name. Guests may not check out equipment for use outside of TRAC. The member is responsible for all items checked out to their guests.
- All guests must comply with the policies and procedures of the Department of Campus Recreation at the University of Illinois Springfield.
Special Group Visitor Policy
UIS campus conference visitors may use TRAC (Fitness Center and Arena) for a fee as part of a Special Group while they are on campus attending a UIS-sponsored conference.
The UIS sponsoring department or office must submit a request to the Department of Campus Recreation at least three business days prior to the start of the conference. This request should include:
- The name of the conference
- The dates the conference is being held at UIS
- A list of conference attendees
- The contact person from the UIS sponsoring department or office
To use TRAC, a conference visitor must present a photo ID (e.g., driver’s license) to the Front Desk Attendant upon entering. If the name on the ID matches the list of registered attendees, the visitor will be granted access to TRAC.
A $5 special group fee per visit is required for each entry. This fee may be:
- Paid individually at the time of each visit, or
- Arranged in advance to be paid by the sponsoring department before or after the event
This means that if a department has arranged pre-payment or billing, conference attendees will not be required to pay individually at check-in.
Conference visitors may check out equipment for use during their workout time in TRAC only. They do not receive the following benefits:
- No extended equipment check-outs (i.e., equipment may not be checked out overnight or for multiple days)
- No guest privileges (i.e., visitors may not host or sign in guests or family members)
