The UIS Experience Survey provides valuable insights that guide improvements to our university environment, teaching, learning, and workplace culture. The survey will be administered to all faculty, staff, and students starting on October 20 and will run through November 21.

Administration of the Survey

Every student, staff, and faculty member at UIS as of September 5, 2025, will be invited to participate in the UIS Experience Survey. An outside company, SoundRocket, is administering the survey. SoundRocket has been administering climate surveys since 2001 and have partnered with over 300 institutions of higher education.

Accessing the Survey

Invitations will be sent from SoundRocket via e-mail on October 20, 23, 29 and on November 3, 6, and 12. The survey will be sent from UISUniversityExperienceSurvey <surveys@srsrv.com>. The e-mail sent on October 20 will have the subject line [EXTERNAL] Share Your Voice: University of Illinois Springfield University Experience Survey 2025.

If you need assistance in accessing the survey, contact SoundRocket Support at support@srsrv.com. Please do not forward your survey invitation to others, as each survey link is unique to the recipient.

Confidentiality of Responses

SoundRocket adheres to and exceeds the highest data security and confidentiality standards in higher education. SoundRocket's standard privacy/confidentiality and appropriate analytic use data suppression is designed to suppress any data where there is a risk of disclosure, or when the sample sizes are so small that it would be inappropriate to analyze the data as representing any meaningful larger population.

Data suppression will take place at the report level if fewer than 15 responses have been received for the population group being reported in the report. Suppression will also be conducted within tables if fewer than five cases are represented in any single cell.

UIS will receive a de-identified case-level dataset from SoundRocket.

Student Incentive for Completing the Survey

As a thank-you, students will have a chance to win one of twenty $25 gift cards to Starbucks. A drawing will be held following data collection and winners will be notified within a couple of weeks.
