
Dr. Brianna Werner graduated from the Psychology Department at UIS in 2014 where she was actively engaged in under-graduate research. Under the supervision of Dr. Frances Shen and Dr. Sheryl Reminger, she conducted studies that examined military Veteran college experiences and adjustment.
She earned a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi in 2019.
Dr. Werner is currently the Director of Accelerated Treatment Programs for the Road Home Program at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. In this role, she manages the clinical and administrative operations to support Veterans and Service Members through a two-week accelerated treatment program focused on PTSD.
Outside of work, Dr. Werner enjoys spending time with her partner and their four cats, board games, reading, and trying local coffee shops. At UIS, she most enjoyed the opportunity to learn among passionate faculty and peers.
