Requirements
- Must be a UIS undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing.
- Students must have successfully completed at least 1 full year (2 semesters) at UIS.
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
Semesters
- Fall Semester
- Courses: late September to early December
- Exams: first few weeks of January
- Spring Semester
- Courses: late January to early May
- Exams: first few weeks of May
- Summer courses are available for short-term stays.

- Students can select from departments such as History, Political Science, Communication, Business, English, Environmental Studies and Theatre.
- Psychology courses cannot be taken at the University of Hull

- Estimated monthly expenses
- Housing: Prices for on-campus accommodation start at about $600 per month.
- Estimated cost for meals, incidentals, and miscellaneous expenses is $300 per month.
Scholarships
- Apply for the UIS Donor-Sponsored Scholarship by mid-February. Indicate within the application that you plan to participate on a study away program.

- Apply for the Butex Scholarship if you are an undergraduate student studying sustainability/environmental awareness.
Passport & Visa
- Students will require a passport to participate on this program.
- For assistance securing a U.S. Passport, visit Travel.State.Gov.
- Depending on program length, U.S. citizens may require a visa in order to participate in this program. Check if you need a UK visa. After acceptance into the program, students follow instructions from the host university to apply for the visa.
