Calling All Necessary Steps Alumni, current students, friends, and family!
Visiting campus for Homecoming? Stop by the Necessary Steps tent during the Prairie Star Block Party on Friday, September 19 from 3 - 5 p.m. to catch up with your classmates, network with other Necessary Steps alums, meet our current students and learn more about the UIS 1st Generation Initiative. Live music and food will be available for purchase. Free Necessary Steps Mentoring Program t-shirts while they last.
After the Block Party, move with your friends to Kiwanis Stadium to cheer on the Women's (5 p.m.) and Men's (7:30 p.m.) Soccer Teams.
There are lots of events for our Prairie Star Alumni Family to enjoy. Check out the calendar of events for Alumni and Friends and make a weekend of it in Springfield.
Our tent will be located on Richard Wright Drive, the south side of the student union, to the east of the Athletics building that houses the concessions and offices. I hope to see you there!
