COPC is a program within the
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that is designed to help
Universities, in partnership with community organizations, bring thier resources
to bear to solve problems in areas in need within their communities. The UIS
COPC provides funds for a cooperative effort with the Springfield Project (TSP),
Lincoln Land Community College ( LLCC ) to address the following areas:
In addition to funds for Planning and Management of the UIS COPC, the grant provides funds for two major Educational/Outreach activities:
- Serving as a cleaning house for dissemination of information locally and regionally including newsletters, publications and webpages.
- Exchange of information with other COPC centers.
