University of Illinois Springfield Continuing and Professional Education (CAPE) is proud to announce a new collaboration with the Illinois Governor's Office of Management and Budget (GOMB) and the Grant Accountability and Transparency Unit (GATU). CAPE will launch a comprehensive training series designed to support grantees, potential grantees and state agency personnel in navigating the complex world of grant administration.

Illinois annually disburses millions of dollars in grants to organizations, aiming to provide essential services and programs to its residents. Recognizing the importance of effective grant management, UIS, in partnership with GOMB-GATU, has developed a five-course training program that delves into the intricacies of the grantmaking and management lifecycle.

The inaugural course, GOMB Pre-Award, is available on the GATA learning management system, providing accessible reference materials, detailed instruction and practical support. The self-paced, internet-based training aims to empower participants to become proficient grant administrators, contributing to the successful allocation of public funds for impactful initiatives.

Participants interested in the grant training courses can register online.
