Flooding can occur due to rainstorms, water main breaks, or power failure to sump pumps.
If safe to do so:
- Secure necessary equipment, records, and hazardous materials and move them to higher ground.
- Shut off non-essential electrical equipment.
- Wait for instructions from the Police Department or Facility Services.
Move to a safe area, away from the flooded structure. Notify emergency personnel of persons with disabilities who are in the area and need help to evacuate.
Do not return to the area until instructed to do so by the Police Department or Facility Services.
