About the UIS Website:

The UIS Office of Web Services oversees the primary UIS Website, including the campus home page and top-level pages of the site, and assists official campus units in creation and maintenance of their websites. The full-time staff of the Office of Web Services includes Sherry Hutson (shuts1@uis.edu) Director; Christy Broccardo-Davis (cbroc1@uis.edu) Associate Director; Ralph Shank (dshan01s@uis.edu) Web Portal and Multimedia Developer; and Mohan Chevuri (mchev2@uis.edu) Web Specialist.

Elements of the campus home page and responsibility for those elements:

  • Featured Photographs. Diana Nelson (dnels1@uis.edu), UIS Creative Director, works with a team of marketing and recruitment-oriented departments to select the featured photos.

  • News and Events. Cheryl Peck (cpeck1@uis.edu), Office of Campus Relations, oversees the news and events headlines, and the associated news releases and feature stories.

  • Athletics News. Paul MacDonna (pmacd1@uis.edu), Assistant Athletic Director/SID, writes athletics headlines and associated stories.

  • Sangamon Auditorium Events. Bryan Leonard (bleon2@uis.edu), Associate Marketing Director, posts upcoming auditorium events.

  • Announcements. The Office of Web Services posts important announcements. (See email above.)

  • Featured Programs. The Office of Web Services produces the feature boxes that link to spotlighted units and programs on campus. This office also handles other links and elements of the home page. (See email above.)

  • The Web Servers. The Information Technology Services department maintains all of the server hardware and software that host the UIS Website. If you have trouble connecting to the UIS Website, please contact the ITS Technical Support unit at techsupport@uis.edu or 217/206-6000.

  • Campus Email and other technical concerns. The ITS Technical Support department maintains campus email and office computers. Employees and students, if you have trouble with email or any other technical issue, please call or send email to Tech Support at techsupport@uis.edu or 217/206-6000.
