UIS faculty member to give poetry reading


SPRINGFIELD Rosina Neginsky, faculty member at the University of Illinois at Springfield, will read original poems including selections from her new book, Under the Light of the Moon, at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Barnes and Noble Booksellers, 3111 S. Veterans Parkway in Springfield. The event is free and open to the public.

She will be available to sign copies of her book following the reading.

Neginsky is also the author of the poetry volume Dancing Over the Precipice and a forthcoming academic work on the Symbolist writer Zinaida Vengerova.

Neginsky, an assistant professor in the Liberal Studies and Individual Options programs at UIS, holds degrees from the University of Paris III and earned the Ph.D. in comparative literature at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Under the Light of the Moon was published in New York by Slovo-Word.
