SPRINGFIELD - Graduating seniors in the University of Illinois at Springfield's Visual Arts department will showcase their individual styles and disciplines in "Three Space," the annual Senior Student Art Exhibition. Three exhibits of work by 18 students will showcase a variety of themes, styles, and media including paint, graphic/web design, photography, encaustics, and sculpture.
Exhibits will be on display in the Lincoln Residence Hall Great Room, Public Affairs Center lobby, and Visual Arts Gallery, all on the UIS campus. An opening reception will be held at each location from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 2. All the exhibits and receptions are free and open to the public.
The exhibit in the Visual Arts Gallery will run from Monday, April 28, through Friday, May 16, and will feature works by Kendra Cobbs, Gina Francis, Amanda Grieve, Sue Huskins, John Spencer, and Lesa Taylor.
The exhibit in the PAC lobby will run from Friday, May 2, through Thursday, May 8, and will include works by Mala Bhandari, Rehal Fradi, Kimberly Magowan, Samantha Murphy, Deron Perkins, and Ashleen Woods.
The exhibit in the LRH Great Room will run from Wednesday, April 30, through Friday, May 9. Artists represented will be Terrylynn Banks, Jimmy Brower, Ty Carlson, Emily Dyer, Erin Schroeder, and Danielle Simler.
