What: UIS and its College of Business and Management will host a reception to mark the college's recent accreditation by AACSB International.
When: 5:30 p.m. today, Thursday, May 10
Where: Sangamon Auditorium Lobby in the Public Affairs Center
Details: College faculty and staff, leaders from the business community, and friends of the university have been invited to celebrate CBM's accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business – International, the world's premier accrediting agency for collegiate schools of business. Only about 10 percent of business programs worldwide and about 28 percent in the U.S. presently have this accreditation.
Accreditation affirms the excellence of programs in the college as well as campus support in such areas as library, technology, career services, and student services.
The College of Business and Management houses UIS' academic programs in Accountancy, Business Administration, Economics, Management, and Management Information Systems.
Please note: CBM Associate Dean Dyanne Ferk speaks about the advantages of attending an AACSB-accredited institution in a "UIS News Minute" at www.uis.edu/newsreleases/apr07/20070417b.html.
