All of the UIS Cares Food Pantry monetary and food donations are provided by caring individuals such as yourself. It is your support that allows the pantry to help students succeed while facing economic hardship.

Monetary donations using a secured link may also be made through the University of Illinois Foundation, that accepts and manages donations on behalf of the UIS Cares Food Pantry. Information can be found below.

Who can donate items to the UIS Cares Food Pantry?

All individuals and organizations, both inside and outside the University of Illinois Springfield community, may donate items to the UIS Cares Food Pantry.  UIS student organizations are especially encouraged to sponsor and participate in donation efforts.

Where can donated items be left?                                                                                                              Donation bins with the UIS Cares logo are located across campus for donations in the following locations:                                                                                                                            

  • UHB Classroom side and UHB Office side
  • PAC Tower 1 first floor
  • PAC Tower 3 first floor
  • PAC Tower 3 Fifth floor
  • Brookens Library side, second floor stair case
  • Science Building main entrance
  • Diversity Center entrance
  • Entrance of Food Pantry (SAB 60 A)
  • Student Union West Entrance

What types of items can be donated?                                                                                                          Donations of non-perishable, unexpired food items and personal care items are always welcome.  Specific guidelines and suggested food items for donation are listed here:

Can someone help deliver a donation to the UIS Cares Food Pantry?

Can I donate money to the UIS Cares Food Pantry?

Yes! Your financial contributions enable the UIS Cares Food Pantry to purchase food at a reduced cost, ensuring a steady inventory of needed items.

Can I donate cash or by check?

The UIS Cares Food Pantry accepts donations of cash or personal checks made out to University of Illinois Springfield UIS Cares Food Pantry. You may bring your donation to the Office of Advancement, located at PAC 595, in the Public Affairs Building, between 8:30 am and 5 pm. You may also mail your check to:
