105 Best-selling Rebecca Skloot speaks about HeLa cells

Rebecca Skloot, author of the best-selling The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks – which was Amazon’s book of the year in 2010 – came to Sangamon Auditorium after spending ten years researching the story of a young black woman who died of cervical cancer in 1951 and left behind an inexplicably immortal line of cells known as HeLa.
