There will be no CSAC meeting in January. New Business: 1. Leadership Lived discussion. Ed provided a slideshow about Leadership Lived. The Chancellor’s office, along with HR, is hoping to provide staff training about Leadership Lived later this year. The training is basically to get the campus community on the same page and provide concrete meaning to Leadership Lived. Ed has been doing the Leadership Lived presentation with various leadership groups across campus. The goal is to “grow deeper roots” for Leadership Lived. * We reviewed the brand promise and the brand attributes. * Discussed the UIS 1000 which can be found on the UIS homepage * Have started including Leadership Lived stories on the homepage of the website * CSAC asked Ed if it would be possible to have to bookstore start carrying the Leadership Lived items (clothing, coffee mugs). Ed will look into this and let us know. 2. New Initiatives for next year * Possible Brown Bags that tie into Leadership Lived, offer professional development or health/wellness topics * Revisit creating a Professional Development Fund * Rec membership rates Old Business: None Chancellor’s Report – Ed Wojcicki – None HR Report – Joy Thibadeau 1. The first New Employee Orientation will be held on November 19th. Anyone hired September 1st and after will be asked to attend. The current plan is to hold the orientation on a monthly basis. Treasurer’s Report – Denise Rothenbach – 1. We have $185.67 in regular account and $408.34 in the gift account. We may want to begin looking at fundraising activities in the near future. Committee Reports: APAC – Jo Barnard – No report CARE/CSAD – Bobbie Fults -- No report Campus Senate – Kurt Piskin 1. Senate is discussing honorary degrees 2. Open access issue going on with research Campus Technology – Janice Marvel – No report SURS – Janice Marvel – No report SUCSAC – Denise Rothenbach 1. UIS audit is not done. UIC audit is expected to be bad. 2. Permission was given to add more title to the pilot for eliminating the 3 name rule when interviewing candidates UIEAC – Bobbie Fults (President), Janice Marvel (SURSMAC), Denise Rothenbach (SUSAC) – No report Parking Appeals and Advisory Board – Darlene Harris-Kresse & Debbie Dove 1. There were tons of tickets during the start of the fall semester ROAD – Máire Foxx and Dianne Morse – No report Sustainability – CJ Castelletti – No report Student Discipline – Amber Pyle & Tracy Rakes – No report Webmaster – Toni Langdon – No report Silent Auction – Vacant 1. Ann has stepped down so we need new chair. No one volunteered during this meeting but Denise said she may be interested and would get back to Bobbie. 2. Discussed possible auction dates. We are looking at April 30 –May or early March. Bobbie will talk with Grant to see what is available. 3. Bobbie will send campus announcement this week to remind everyone the auction is coming up Smoke Free Task Force – Darlene Harris-Kresse 1. A survey will be emailed to the campus community this week.
