MINUTES
Wednesday, May 1, 2013

Present:  CJ Castelletti, Ann Cole, Debbie Dove, Bobbie Fults, Darlene Harris-Kresse, Toni Langdon, Sandra Longen, Janice Marvel, Jamie McGill, Tracy Rakes, Denise Rothenbach, Jill Stoops, and Patricia Young

Absent:  Lori Atkinson and Dawn Orlove

Guests: 	Laura Alexander, Ed Wojcicki

Call to Order:  10:09 a.m.

Approve Agenda for this meeting:  Yes.  Motion by Jill, second by Darlene.  Motion carried.
Approve Minutes from last meeting:  Yes.  Motion by Debbie, second by Jill.  Motion carried.

Announcements:  

1. Jill’s last day at UIS will be May 16, 2013. 

New Business:  

1. End of year money is approximately $205.00
2. Elections are coming.  There will be 7-2year terms and 1-1 year.  Human resources will email staff with nomination forms.
3. Benefit choice period.  The increases were not as bad as we thought.  Increases were based on salary levels.

Old Business:  

1. Silent Auction/Spring for Talent brought in $1,800 and the bake sale made $268.
2. Wellness Committee.  Chef does want on this committee when it’s time.  Ambassadors have been picked.

Chancellor’s Report – Ed Wojcicki 

1. Liberal Leave Policy.  The Chancellor’s office apologized again for their oversight of the liberal leave policy.
2. The Chancellor has started a new round of general discussions about “What are we going to do now”.  She would like to have a round with civil service but is open to a joint session with civil service and academic professional staff.  Hoping to do this in late May or early June.

HR Report – Laura Alexander

1. Have been doing performance evaluation training for the last 2 weeks.
2. HR is still working on the new hire orientation
3. July 10-13 SUCCS will be on campus
4. Auditors are coming back soon to review results

Treasurer’s Report – Denise Rothenbach – Spent $20 for the faculty/staff campaign kickoff.
