Lisa Whelpley attended today’s meeting to talk about the Faculty Staff Campaign. This year’s theme is Shake Rattle & Roll. The campaign runs July 1 – June 30. Last year 44.1% of UIS employees gave. The kickoff will be held on February 27th from 12:00-1:30 in the PAC Lobby. There are 19 organizations and departments registered. There will be a costume contest, door prizes, and food. 2. Maureen Hoover attended today’s meeting to talk about new employee welcome socials/open houses. There will be 2 “socials” held per year in hopes of strengthening employee networking. Attendance will not be mandatory. Right now, APAC has approved and currently waiting for the Chancellor’s approval. CSAC members voted unanimously to co-sponsor the socials. Old Business: 1. Silent Auction. CSAC is cancelling the auction this year. There were not enough donations to justify moving forward with the auction. We will be looking at alternatives (trivia nights, selling pies, raffling items, Vegas night/lunch). 2. Professional Development Fund. The professional development fund committee will review the proposal and CSAC will re-submit the proposal for approval. Denise would like to spend some money to host the quarterly meeting at the UIS Campus. Committee Reports: APAC – Jo Barnard 1. Toni has volunteered to fill in while Jo is on maternity leave.
