Announcements: None New Business: None Old Business: 1. SUCSS Audit. Ed Wojcicki states that all of the AP Positions on UIS Campus were grandfathered in. Comments: Several rumors over campus state that fighting the conversion to CS is similar to saying “it is a horrible thing to be Civil Service”. Chancellor’s Report – Ed Wojcicki 1. Amanda Bly has resigned and will be going to the FBI in three weeks, and they will be announcing the opening of her old position of Office Support Specialist shortly. HR Report – Bob Lael - Out Treasurer’s Report – Debbie Dove – No Report Committee Reports: APAC – Toni Langdon – No Report CARE – Ann Cole – No Report CSAD – Bobbie Fults – No Report Campus Senate – Lori Atkinson 1. Tih-Fen Ting Results of the vote to have Tih-Fen Ting step down as chair of Campus Senate was: 16 Yes, 5 No, and 7 sustained. After the Campus Senate meeting Tih-Fen Ting resigned as Campus Senate chair. Campus Technology – Janice Marvel – Out – No Report SURS – Janice Marvel – Out - No Report SUCSAC – Denise Rothenbach 1. The meeting was the middle of January. Chair of SUCSAC, Barney Bryson has retired and Julie Benadict was voted in as the new chair. James Jones will also be retiring at the end of April. He is the head of the Legislative Committee. He is a really good source of letting SUCSAC members know when bills were being up for vote and for watching the legislative process. 2. Committee has been looking at the Senate Bill 12. 3. Pilot programs have been used for more positions because of the flexibility. Sometime in March the positions will be rolling into actual positions not pilot positions anymore. UIEAC – Bobbie Fults (President), Janice Marvel (SURSMAC), Denise Rothenbach (SUSAC) 1. People complaining about the time HR is spending on the AP Positions and now HR is backlogged on desk audits. Parking Appeals and Advisory Board – Darlene Harris-Kresse & Debbie Dove – With the new semester just starting the next meeting will be near the end of February. Diversity, Equal Rights, Opportunity & Access – Veronica Espina & Gloria Newton Davlantis Sustainability – Laura Laurenzana – Out – No Report-will be e-mailed later Non-monetary Compensation – Jamie McGill, Bobbie Fults, Jill Stoops 1. Rename – the motion was brought up to rename this committee and name it: Wellness Committee - Motion Passed 2. Jill Update – Jill out but Bobbie states that Jill has been working with a person that works on wellness programs. Jill will update us at a later date. Student Discipline – Marcia Rossi & Jay Simpson – No report Webmaster – Toni Langdon 1. Toni went to a Brown Bag Luncheon with Tech Services “Working on Accessible Readers Program”. Silent Auction – Darlene Harris-Kresse & Debbie Dove 1. Have received some donations but definitely need more. 2. Auction dates are: Tuesday March 27th, for Setup and Wednesday March 28th is the actual auction date. 3. Need to contact Jeri Frederick about the Bake Sale on the same day as the auction. 4. Staff Scholarship deadline is February 15th. Bobbie also wanted to state that a Sympathy card had been sent to Becky Schildman’s family from CSAC.
