Present:  Jo Barnard, CJ Castelletti, Bobbie Fults, Joanne Hoagland, Toni Langdon, Janice Marvel, Lindsay Meece, Eric Needham, Dawn Orlove, Kurt Piskin, Amber Pyle, Tracy Rakes, Denise Rothenbach, Jamie Voyles, Kelly Walraven

Call to Order:  10:03 a.m.

Approve Agenda for this meeting:  Yes.  Motion by Denise, second by Jamie.  Motion carried.
Approve Minutes from last meeting:  Yes.  Motion by Kurt, second by CJ.  Motion carried.

Announcements:  
1. Welcome Mae Noll as our new APAC Representative

New Business:  
1. Election for the 2014-15 CSAC Executive Board.  President – Bobbie Fults, Vice-President – Janice Marvel, Secretary – CJ Castelletti, Treasurer – Denise Rothenbach.  All votes for each position were unanimous. 
2. Open house for new employees.  Program was proposed to CSAC, APAC, and the Chancellor.  The proposal is to hold open houses twice each year to welcome new employees and give them an overview of UIS as well as an opportunity to meet co-workers.

Old Business:    
1. EAC Meeting.  The meeting went well.  Members of the committee were very impressed with the UIS campus.
2. CARE.  A notice to nominate for the CARE award was sent to campus announcements.  The deadline to nominate someone is September 10th.  Donor letters (requesting door prizes) will be sent via campus mail or hand delivery.
3. Professional Development.  The committee met and finalized the application.  The FAQ is still in progress.  We are almost ready to make the announcement.

Chancellor’s Report – Ed Wojcicki -- Out

HR Report – Laura Alexander 
1. Performance management (evaluations) is still keeping HR very busy.
2. There is an increase in GPSI students
3. Mark & Jennifer will attend CSAC meeting next month to answer questions regarding civil service testing
