Call to Order: 10:04 II. Approve Agenda for this meeting: Yes. Motion by Jamie Voyles, second by Jeff Sudduth III. Approve Minutes from last meeting: Yes. Motion by Brian Moore, second by Jamie Voyles. IV. Announcements: 1. Welcome John Freml our newest member to CSAC. He is an IT Technical Associate (COLRS) and Adjunct Instructor. V. New Business: 1. Job Board Posting Notification Emails: A list serve is available to sign up for weekly notifications. 2. Learn to Play Cricket Event: On April 27, the UIS Cricket Team will hold demonstrations during President Killeen’s visit. VI. Old Business: 1. Food Emporium Space: Brian and Linette met with APAC and are helping to develop a survey to gather suggestions to make use of the future empty space, however, unlikely it will be a second food outlet. The proposed survey looks good and will be released soon. Some suggestions have included UIS bookstore moving to the emporium. 2. Fundraiser Results: #1- Buffalo Wild Wings March 14, 15% of the sales went to the fundraiser totaling $247.69. #2 – Spring Fling - $96 Total = $343.69 for Staff Scholarship A big thank you to Randy Williams for the discounted drinks and assistance in the restaurant. A list of the attendees went to the Foundation office for recognition. VII. Chancellor’s Report: Ryan Croke VIII. Human Resources Report: Melissa Mlynski 1. All employees are required to take sexual misconduct training. It must be completed by April 7. 2. Several more unions have completed the 2% CSP negotiations. It will be retroactive to February 26. 3. Melenie Trimm is working with Banner XE, an updated version of Banner and it will be available to a testing group for feedback for improvements. The estimated rollout will be Fall 2018. IX. Treasurer’s Report: Alice Seaton – Balance $185.53 X. Committee Reports: A. APAC – Brian Moore 1. Planning Canvas and Cocktails possibly in June 2. Rising Stars has been approved by the Chancellor. 3. There has been discussion regarding the differing protections between Civil Service and Academic Professional in terms of dismissal. B. CARE committee – Jo Barnard – Jo is working on sending a memo to the Chancellor C. CSAD committee – Jo Barnard, Alice Seaton D. Campus Senate – Kurt Piskin The new Provost Dennis Papini starts July 1st. There concerns regarding the US President’s budget. UIS will have a new property on Lake Springfield. Rec Sports will have an opportunity for water events. The enrollment for graduate students is down 250 for this Spring 2017 compared to Spring 2016. These are all international students. Discussion is underway for UIS to create a Center for Lincoln Studies. $240,000 will go towards artwork in front of the new Student Union. E. Campus Technology – Jeff Sudduth Surveys have been collected. WiFi problems are being addressed. F. SURS – Janice Marvel G. EAC – Jamie Voyles 1. There is a joint meeting on May 3 for HRDAC to share concerns with HR. H. UIEAC – Jo Barnard (President), Janice Marvel (SURSMAC), Jamie Voyles (SUSAC) I. Parking Appeals and Advisory Board – Joann Hoagland, Patti Young No in-person appeals, however, good discussions and debate were had. J. Diversity, Equal Rights, Opportunity and Access – Brian Moore, Jennifer May 1. There is debate regarding a Chik-fil-A athletic sponsorship. 2. There is an effort underway for coordinating/updating resources on the webpage. 3. They are working on a diversity reading list and diversity awards. K. Sustainability – CJ Castelletti Watch for announcements for Earth Week activities. L. Student Discipline Committee – Jerrad Frank, CJ Castelletti M. Webmaster – Toni Langdon Updates are needed regarding the silent auction, scholarship requirements, CARE award $500 to donate should be removed. N. Fundraising Committee – Alice Seaton (chair), Brian Moore, CJ Castelletti, Jamie Voyles, Jennifer May AP Vern Huber, Heather Nielson O. Campus Planning and Budget – Jamie Voyles They are continuing on the survey. The Campus Senate is looking to change the charge of their duties: to provide more detail in space planning and fiscal allocations. P.
