Damir Temir, Candidate for International Student Senator

As an international student myself, I would like to become the International Student Senator to represent my fellow students in the Student Government Association. Having finished my first year at UIS, I know the hardship of adapting to studying in a foreign country under the UIS academic setting, and I would like to help those who experience this. Starting a new educational endeavor is challenging for all, but doing so in a different country may make it harder. Holding this position would enable me to raise important issues of remote learning during the pandemic for international students, ensure the equal representation of the diverse international student body, and contribute to the campus’s wellness overall.
