Gifts to Our Stage / Our Voices provide resources and administrative support to an organized committee comprised of Central Illinois citizens and UIS students who are all self-identified members of historically underrepresented communities (i.e. Black; Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ); Hispanic/Latino; and people with disabilities) in the regional performing arts industry. This program brings historically underrepresented community members into decision making roles for the creating of performing arts activities and to raise awareness of the need for diversity in the creation of regional shows.
