Short Description: The community planning certificate prepares administrators to engage in planning for local land uses and participate in a wide range of associated activities including economic development, housing policy, transportation analysis, environmental planning, and urban design. Ideal for practitioners seeking advanced careers in municipal or county management, and also relevant for managers in state and federal agencies concerned with planning.

Requirements: Students earn 18 credit hours in coursework related to community planning such as planning and public policy, capital budgeting, economic development and planning tools.
