Points of Pride
Welcome from Department Chair, Dr. Bob Blankenberger
We greatly appreciate your interest in public administration at UIS. I believe that our faculty are student centered as well as committed to scholarship and to public service. It is my hope that you will find the campus and program as valuable and exciting as I do.
The department is pleased to announce the reintroduction of the Doctor of Public Administration and Public Affairs under the leadership of Dr. Travis Bland. There are substantial changes to the makeup of the degree that we think will appeal to our community. To take a look at the innovations, please visit Doctor of Public Administration.
The department is also pleased to announce the introduction of a new Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration program and a new Graduate Certificate in Public Procurement Management. The bachelor’s degree is intended to prepare students to become administrators in government and nonprofit organizations. See what one of our students says about attending UIS in the BA in Public Administration program.
