2017 Psychology Award Winners

In May 2017, the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences hosted a commencement and honors reception for its graduating seniors. Students and faculty were able to share stories and say good-bye one final time before the graduation ceremony. Various departments gave out awards to their outstanding graduates. In the Psychology Department, the following awards were given to our graduating seniors:

Sara Stutzman was selected as Psychology Department Student Marshal. This award is given to the student who “best exemplifies the spirit and goals of the program.” The Student Marshal leads psychology students in the procession at the graduation commencement ceremony. Sara was selected based on her academic success, research experience, and involvement in Psi Chi and Psychology Club.

Christina Sanchez received an Outstanding Service to the Department award. Christina received this award for her impressive contributions to the department as a student representative and as president of the Psychology Club, and for her involvement with numerous campus and community organizations.
