2016 Psychology Award Winners
In May 2016, the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences hosted a commencement and honors reception for its graduating seniors. Students and faculty were able to share stories and say good-bye one final time before the graduation ceremony. Various departments gave out awards to their outstanding graduates. In the Psychology Department, the following awards were given to our graduating seniors:
Mackenzie Atchie was selected as the Psychology Department Student Marshal. This award is given to the student who “best exemplifies the spirit and goals of the program.” The Student Marshal leads psychology students in the procession at the graduation commencement ceremony. Mackenzie was selected based on her academic success, research experience, and involvement in Psi Chi and Psychology Club. She is pictured here with her faculty mentor, Dr. Frances Shen.
Haley Ochromowicz received an Outstanding Student Scholar award. Haley received this award for her outstanding performance in coursework and research. She is pictured here with department chair Dr. Marcel Yoder.
Jacob Eikenberry received an Outstanding Student Scholar award. Jacob received this award for his outstanding performance in coursework and research. He is pictured here with department chair Dr. Marcel Yoder.
