Bachelor’s Degrees
Online Undergraduate Degree Programs. Most students in our Online Undergraduate degree programs come from a variety of areas throughout the world and have a diverse background. Some of our undergraduates transfer in from a junior or community college. Many of these students are moving forward in life to finish a degree they started many years ago.

The online B.B.A. program has a separate admission process. The number of students admitted each term is limited by enrollment capacity. Applicants are considered on a rolling basis for fall, spring and summer semesters.

Our program offers an online bachelor of science in the field of computer science. A concentration in computer science will familiarize students with the various areas of knowledge that make up the field.

Students who are unable to join us here on campus can now complete the Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication in a completely online format.

The Human Services department made its fully online option available in the fall of 2007. Since then we have had numerous cohorts successfully graduate and go on to work in the Human Services field, to start their own nonprofits, or seek advancement in their current position.

The Mathematical Sciences department teaches diverse quantitative skills through its junior/senior level program of 61 semester hours, or through the math minor

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology is offered in an online format. Students may complete the Individualized Concentration online.

If you are seeking a career in politics, at the local level or on the international scene, then our online Political Science Bachelor of Arts Degree program at the University of Illinois at Springfield (UIS) can equip you with the academic background and the real-world experience you need to succeed. Our program explores American politics, political campaigns, international relations, political philosophy, empirical analysis, and public policy.

Undergraduate Minor Programs
Over 90% of our online undergraduates transfer in with all or some another higher education institution. We have 2+2 and Joint Agreements with various schools across Illinois.

To earn an undergraduate minor in Management Information Systems, students must complete a minimum of five courses totaling 15 semester hours, at least 9 hours of which must be upper-division course work taken at UIS.

To earn a minor in Mathematical Sciences, students must complete a minimum of 24 semester hours, at least 12 hours of which must be upper-division course work taken at UIS. Transfer credit for lower-division course work and for upper-division mathematics courses is evaluated on a case-by-case basis through the Student Petition process.

A minor in philosophy is a great complement to any major. Some majors that form a particularly natural fit with a philosophy minor are legal studies, political science and criminal justice.

To earn a minor in Political Science, students must complete a minimum of 15 semester hours.Students may complete the political science minor on-campus or 100% online.

The Secondary Education minor leads to recommendation for grades 9-12 Illinois licensure when combined with an appropriate academic major, fulfillment of UIS and TEP general education requirements, other campus requirements, and requirements set by the Illinois State Board of Educator.
