The UIS athletic department is now accepting nominations for the 2026 class of the Prairie Stars Hall of Fame. Nominations will be accepted through September 1, 2025.

Established in 2014, the Prairie Stars Athletics Hall of Fame honors some of the most outstanding student-athletes, coaches, teams, and supporters in program history. Nominees will be considered in the following categories:

• Male Student-Athletes
• Female Student-Athletes
• Coaches
• Teams
• Friends of Athletics

Eligibility Criteria Highlights:

• Student-athletes must have competed on a UIS varsity intercollegiate team and been removed from competition for at least five years.
• Coaches must be at least five years removed from their coaching tenure, unless under special circumstances.
• Teams must have achieved exemplary athletic success.
• Friends of Athletics are individuals or organizations who have made significant contributions through service, support, or influence in the field of athletics.

The Class of 2026 will be formally inducted during a special ceremony held as part of Homecoming 2026.
