Katherine Stenzel is a performer and teaching artist who specializes in opera, new music, and musical theatre. She recently appeared as Euridice in Glück’s Orfeo ed Euridice at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, and has been featured as a soloist with Illinois Modern Ensemble and the UIUC Philharmonic Orchestra. Other favorite credits include Pamina in The Magic Flute, Laurey in Oklahoma! Little Red Riding Hood in The Trial of B.B. Wolf, and Yum Yum in The Mikado. She is currently pursuing graduate studies at UIUC.
     An experienced educator, Ms. Stenzel has taught voice at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, where she instructed a variety of students including those majoring in performance, music education, and other fields. She also has years of experience teaching high school and middle school choir, and holds dual bachelor’s degrees in voice performance and choral music education from Florida State University.
