Gina Coonrod is a horn player and works as a music educator at Glenwood High School in Chatham, Illinois. Gina attended Millikin University for her undergraduate schooling and earned a bachelor’s of Music Education. Gina began her teaching career in Chicago and the South suburbs. She later moved to Springfield and has taught at Divernon and Pleasant Plains before landing her current job as Director of Bands for Glenwood High School. Gina currently teaches: Freshman Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Pep Band, Marching Band, Adaptive Music, and directs the musical pit for the annual musical. Gina is an active member of NAfME (National Association for Music Education) and ILMEA (Illinois Music Education Association). In her free time, Gina enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, playing horn for local musicals, churches, orchestras and enjoys teaching horn lessons.
