Colin Galvin is a native of the St. Louis Metro East area, where he lives and works as a music educator and performer. Colin attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for his undergraduate and graduate schooling, respectively, earning degrees in both Music Education and Trumpet Performance.
Colin serves as brass instructor for the 5th grade beginning band and brass director at O’Fallon Township High School, where he is responsible for the instruction of all brass sections and ensembles throughout the marching and concert seasons. Further, he is the organizer of brass chamber music, coaching O’Fallon’s 2018/19 brass quintet to the Music for All Chamber Music Festival in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is also an active private lesson teacher for many O’Fallon junior high and high school students. Colin maintains a wide musical palate as a classical and Latin music performer in the St. Louis area. He is also a proud member of the 566th Air National Guard Band of the Midwest, providing musical support for the State of Illinois, the Air Force, and all members of the armed forces who serve and defend our country.
