UNDERGRADUATE MINOR IN MIS

To earn an undergraduate minor in Management Information Systems, students must complete a minimum of five courses totaling 15 semester hours, at least 9 hours of which must be upper-division course work taken at UIS. Prerequisites include proficiency in a spreadsheet and/or a database package or completion of CSC 317 Software Packages. You can declare MIS as your minor area of study on your application form when you apply for admission to UIS. If you do not declare MIS as your minor area of study at the time of admission, you may do so at a later time via a Change of Major/Minor form available from the Office of Admission.
