CLS faculty emerita and past program director, Paula Garrott, was awarded the prestigious lifetime achievement award at the national American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science meeting in July in Chicago.  This award honors members who have “made a difference” to the organization and the profession. Her legacy continues through the laboratory professionals that she taught and mentored at UIS/SSU.

At the annual state meeting of ASCLS-IL, Paula was awarded the inaugural lifetime achievement award for her service to the state society and professional of medical laboratory science. The was held in April 2018 in Naperville, IL.
