The MBA degree at UIS is a general professional program intended to serve graduate students from a broad variety of occupations and with diverse professional aspirations. It includes twelve courses and a total of 36 credit hours.
- The core curriculum begins with the gateway course, BUS 501 Business Perspectives, and concludes with the capstone course, BUS 583 Business Strategy.
- There are six additional required courses that address the core responsibilities of contemporary managers and leaders.
- The curriculum also includes four elective courses. Students may choose from business administration, accounting, management, and MIS coursework. With permission, students may choose elective courses outside the College of Business and Management in, for instance, communication, computer science, etc.
