Academic Advising

After entering the program, students are assigned an adviser from the management faculty and should maintain regular contact with their adviser. If students have questions regarding academic advising, they may contact the Management Program office at 217.206.6712.

2015 grad1Students should meet with their advisers during the 1st semester of study so a degree completion plan can be prepared. Students should also consult with advisers before registering for their last semester to ensure that requirements are met. It is the student’s responsibility to be aware of and fulfill all degree completion requirements.

New transfer students with 30 hours or more of coursework are encouraged to contact the College of Business and Management Undergraduate Academic Adviser, Erin Kuntz Sotelo  for an initial advising appointment: or or (217) 206-6782. Students will learn about our Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS), courses required for adequate progress, transfer of courses, and materials that will be key to success in our program.
