Learning from the master…the master chocolatier!

Students from Dr. Carolee Rigsbee’s MGT 488: The Capstone course were in for a sweet treat on Wednesday night when Joshua Becker, founder of Cocoa Blue Chocolates, stopped by to talk about his experience as an entrepreneur. Joshua answered questions about how he started the company, set up operations, put together a growth plan, and many other related challenges.

Joshua started Cocoa Blue in 2013 after studying at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. Prior to this endeavor, he had earned a business degree and a law degree, before recognizing his calling to the culinary arts. Just goes to show that it is never to late to follow your passion!

The project started by Dr. Rigbsee, along with Drs. Jorge Villegas and Megan Styles, was made possible by a $3,654 grant from PepsiCo Recycling Zero Impact Fund.
