Data Privacy Day began in the United States and Canada in January 2008 as an extension of the Data Protection Day celebration in Europe. At UIS, we want to help students, faculty and staff focus on privacy in your daily lives and what you can do to protect your data.
National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM)
October Is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and Information Technology Services is championing you to be SAFER and more SECURE on your computer and other devices.
During the month of October, you can earn a prize for completing featured online cybersecurity training each week! You can earn up to 4 prizes, with a special bonus prize for doing all four. Look for an email each Monday in October with that week’s training topic.
