Illinois State Budget: Tax and Spend 101
Illinois State Budget: Tax and Spend 101 is a half-day workshop on how the state budget process works in Illinois, and how to work effectively to impact the budget-making process. The staff of the Institute for Legislative Studies will provide basic information on the state through the legislative appropriation process. Highlights include the budget timeline, political dynamics, and deal-making that results in the final budget.
