TV Assistant/Production

Job Description: The primary function of this position is to serve on production crews for University & Campus Channel studio and remote productions (operate camera, audio board, character generator, lighting, and floor director; perform duties as assignment producer and director of Campus Channel tapings; edit Campus Channel programs, communicating with the campus community; perform the duties of Master Control Operator (airing programs on the Campus Channel & updating the campus community calendar; and studio/control room/Campus Channel network maintenance.

Qualifications: Students with a strong interest to learn video production skill are preferred.  Must be available for evening and weekend productions and operations.  It is essential that students applying for this position have strong communication skills and work well in a team driven environment.  Must be able to work well with the public.  Completion of high school video production classes, completion of college-level video production courses, currently enrolled in video production courses, or professional television experiences are also preferred.
